Software LoadSoftware LoadThe software loaded on the <strong>HX2</strong> consists of Microsoft® Windows® CE 5 OS, hardware-specific OEM Adaptation Layer,device drivers, Internet Explorer 6.0 for Windows CE browser and utilities. The software supported is summarized below:• Full Operating System License: Includes all operating system components, including Microsoft® Windows® CE 5 kernel,file system, communications, connectivity (for remote APIs), device drivers, events and messaging, graphics, keyboardand touchscreen input, window management, and common controls.• Network and Device Drivers• Bluetooth (Optional)Note: Please contact your LXE representative for software updates and CAB files as they are released by LXE.Software ApplicationsThe following applications are included:• WordPad• LXE Scan Wedge (barcode result manipulation)• ActiveSync• Transcriber• Internet ExplorerBluetooth (Optional)Start | Settings | Control Panel | BluetoothOnly installed on a Bluetooth equipped <strong>HX2</strong>. The System Administrator can Discover and Pair targeted Bluetooth devices foreach <strong>HX2</strong>. The System Administrator can enable / disable Bluetooth settings and assign a Computer Friendly name for each<strong>HX2</strong>.The Bluetooth control panel can also be accessed by doubletapping the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar or on the desktop.Java (Optional)Installed by LXE. Files can be accessed by tapping Start | Programs | JEM-CE. Doubletap the EVM icon to open the EVMConsole. A folder of Java examples and Plug-ins is also installed with the Java option. LXE does not support Java applicationsrunning on the mobile device.LXE RFTerm (Optional)Start | Programs | RFTermInstalled by LXE. The application can also be accessed by double clicking the RFTerm desktop icon.AvalancheThe Wavelink Avalanche Enabler installation file is loaded on the <strong>HX2</strong> by LXE; however, the device is not configured to launchthe installation file automatically. The installation application must be run manually the first time Avalanche is used. Followinginstallation, the Wavelink Avalanche Enabler will be an auto-launch application.
