Bluetooth DevicesBluetooth taskbar Icon state and Bluetooth device Icon states change as Bluetooth devices are discovered, paired, connectedand disconnected. There may be audible or visual signals as paired devices re-connect with the <strong>HX2</strong>.• The default Bluetooth setting is On.• The <strong>HX2</strong> cannot be discovered by other Bluetooth devices when the Computer is discoverable option is disabled(unchecked) on the Settings panel.• Other Bluetooth devices cannot be discovered if they have been set up to be Non-Discoverable or Invisible.• When Filtered Mode is enabled, the <strong>HX2</strong> can pair with one Bluetooth scanner and one Bluetooth printer.• When Filtered Mode is disabled, the <strong>HX2</strong> can pair with up to four Bluetooth devices, with a limit of one scanner, oneprinter, two HID 1 devices (one Mouse, one Keyboard), one PAN 2 device, and one DUN 3 device connected at the sametime.• It is not necessary to disconnect a paired scanner and printer before a different scanner or printer is paired with the <strong>HX2</strong>.• The target Bluetooth device should be as close as possible (up to 32.8 ft (10 meters) Line of Sight) to the <strong>HX2</strong> during thepairing process.Assumption: The System Administrator has Discovered and Paired targeted Bluetooth devices for the <strong>HX2</strong>. The <strong>HX2</strong>operating system has been upgraded to the revision level required for Bluetooth client operation. An application (or API) isavailable that will accept data from serial Bluetooth devices.Bluetooth DevicesThe Bluetooth Devices tab displays any device previously discovered and paired with the <strong>HX2</strong>.1 Human Interface Device profiles used by Bluetooth keyboards, mice, pointing devices and remote monitoring devices.2 Personal Area Networking profile. Un-modified Ethernet payloads (using BNEP) can exchange packets between Bluetoothdevices.
