MarsCowlong, who made lots of waves as Pat Travers’ bassist inthe ‘70’s and 80’s made great use of this box on his bassimmediately after it was introduced in 1977. This stompbox has a sweep range of 35-to-1 and a built-in compressor that work together with thetone circuitry to give the A/DA its signature jet-like sweep.It can be very dramatic with its unique wave shape andability to create almost ring modulator-like effects at extreme settings. When the modelof the A/DA Flanger is selected for editing on the Bass PODXT Live, the knob belowDEPTH controls the sweep range. FDBK adjusts feedback (in other words, how muchof the effected signal is fed back to the input of the effect), and the MANUAL knobcontrols the length of the very short delay that’s applied to the sweep to make theflanging effect happen.
