All action on this specialpoint has its irradiation into the whole universe ... Allknowledge in all traditions, from every part of the earth,says that the psychic formation is a terrestrial formationand that the growth of the psychic being is something thattakes place upon earth. But once they are formed and freein their movement, they can go anywhere in the universe,they are not limited in their movement. But their formationand growth belong to the terrestrial life, for reasons ofconcentration.”“What happens on Earth,” said the Mother, “has its repercussionin the entire universe.” Inversely, Sri Aurobindowrote in Savitri: “The powers of all the worlds have entrancehere.” 17 And in his correspondence he wrote: “Earth is thefoundation and all the worlds are on the earth and to imaginea clean-cut or irreconcilable difference between themis ignorance; here and not elsewhere, not by going to someother world, the divine realization must come. ... Evolutiontakes place on earth and therefore the earth is the properfield of progress. ... I am concerned with the earth, not withworlds beyond for their own sake; it is a terrestrial realizationthat I seek and not a flight to distant summits. All otheryogas regard this life as an illusion or a passing phase; thesupramental yoga alone regards it as a thing created by theDivine for a progressive manifestation and takes the fulfilmentof the life and the body for its object.”It goes without saying that a full interpretation of thesewords is only possible in the context of the Aurobindianteaching.
