At that time he stillmet regularly with some privileged disciples and answeredtheir questions. On the 15th of August of that year – hisbirthday – the following question was put to him: “How arethe universal conditions more ready for the coming downof the Supermind than they were before?”Sri Aurobindo answered: “Firstly, the knowledge of thephysical world has increased so much that it is on the vergeof breaking its own bounds.
