Haake FacultyEnrichment. Funds from this account assistRockhurst in providing enrichment opportunitiesto assist faculty in developing exciting andcreative learning environments that reinforceand enhance teaching and learning in the Jesuittradition.• The Joseph A. Hoskins Memorial Fundfor Faculty Development, established in honorof this 1933 alumnus, charter member of theRegents, founder and chairman of the Gift andBequest Council, 26-year Honorary Director,member of the President’s Roundtable, anddedicated leader in the advancement of Jesuiteducation.• The Gregory C. Huger, S.J., MemorialFund honors a 25-year professor of history, aJesuit dedicated to instilling social responsibilityand appreciation of mankind in his studentsand friends.• The Ingrisano Library Fund was establishedin 2002 by Nancy and Michael N. Ingrisano, Jr.Mike, a 1948 alumnus, retired from the U.S.Customs Service in Washington, D.C. wherehe was Director of Public Relations. Mike isan author and has published books on the CivilWar. The Ingrisano Library Fund providesresources that enhance the educational missionof Rockhurst University.• The Jesuit Endowment for RockhurstUniversity was created in 1999.• The Brian K. Jones Memorial HIV/AIDSEducational Fund was created in 1996 at BrianK. Jones’ request to provide continuing HIVand AIDS education at his alma mater, RockhurstUniversity, and in our surrounding community.• The Rev. Wilfred L. LaCroix, S.J., PhilosophyFund is an endowed fund to benefitthe continued improvement of faculty in thedepartments of philosophy and theology. Thefund is named in honor of long time philosophyprofessor Father LaCroix through a giftarranged by his parents.• Elaine Bourke Lally Fund for TeachingHumanities, an endowed fund for the supportof teachers of humanities at Rockhurst University,has been established by Elaine BourkeLally, a long-time friend of Rockhurst University.A monetary award will be given annuallyto one faculty member from the humanities areaof Rockhurst to provide special opportunities tothe faculty member.• The Lally Family Tennis Fund was establishedin 2000 by Dr. and Mrs. James Lally andtheir son, Mark, to support the Rockhurst University’stennis program.• The Dr. Thomas Lyon and Nicholas S.Rashford, S.J. Fellowship for Faculty Scholarshipwas established to honor Dr. Tom Lyonand Fr. Nick Rashford, S.J. Awards shall bemade at the discretion of the Dean of the HelzbergSchool of Management and in accordancewith achieving HSOM’s mission and learningobjectives. The funds are used to support teaching,case writing and faculty development.• The McGee Chair, a gift of the Joseph andAnne McGee family to support an instructionaldevelopment program for faculty designed toenhance teaching and learning. Workshops andteaching consultant assistance are available forskill development in interactive learning, usingtechnology for learning, assigning and assessingstudent oral and written work, using case methodteaching, and enhancing student listening skills.• The McMeel Service-Learning/FacultyDevelopment Endowment, the McMeelFamily Faculty Institute on Service-Learningprovides support to faculty to incorporateservice-learning into their classes. The instituteincludes a course design workshop where participantsdevelop a service-learning project thatmeets authentic community needs with academiclearning outcomes. McMeel Family FacultyInstitute participants contribute to servicelearningat Rockhurst through their engagementin compelling and stimulating communitybasedlearning experiences for students, and bydisseminating knowledge to their colleagues.• The George and Gladys Miller Chair inBusiness Administration, established by a wellknownKansas City businessman and Rockhurstsupporter, acknowledges the strong ties betweenthe University and the business communitywhile strengthening business managementrooted in a liberal education.• The Patricia Morgan Memorial Fund, tohonor Patricia Morgan, one whose love of Godand fellow men was exemplified in her life, forthe purpose of supporting the teaching of philosophyand theology.• The Physical Therapy/Occupational TherapyResource Center funded by GeorgeannMulhern, longtime friend of the University,provides books, supplies, equipment and otherresources to support the Physical Therapy andOccupational Therapy Resource Center.
