Byconnecting the working electrode to both “WORK” and “SENSE” sockets, youeliminate the ohmic drop due to the contact resistor of the working electrode andthe ohmic drop of the 2 working electrode cables.The working electrode is to be connected to the “WORK” socket only in almost anycases when the electrode contact and cable resistors are negligible (typically lessthan 1 Ohm) in comparison with the resistance of the solution situated between theworking and the reference electrodes.As a general use, the working electrode is to be connected to both “WORK” and“SENSE” sockets when low impedances and/or high currents are to be measured.The “SENSE” socket is not a reference electrode input.
