Their connectionswith high officials of the SS and SA. are both intimate and of longstanding* Above all, their standing in the Party, combined withtheir technical qualifications, will earn them the confidence ofNazi leaders in any plans for a last-ditch resistance*In regard to the book itself, its contents attempt to give ascomprehensive a description of the administration and operation ofOT as a study of available documentary material would allow* It isas up-to-date as can reasonably be expected of a basic referencebook, especially in view of the rapidity with which the currentsituation is changing* Finally the book should prove equallyuseful either in the event of a decision to employ OT's capabilitiesin some form or another for the reconstruction of the devastatedparts of Europe, or in the event of a decision to demobilise theOrganisation in its entirety* The list of OT personalities(Annexe c) will* it is hoped, prove particularly useful from acounter-intelligence aspect*
