If their former wages were lower, they are tobe adjusted to this regulation.Bonuses for excess output of work up to 10$ of wages may be paid.Other additions and allowances which have been paid prior tothe enforcement of these regulations were to be discontinued, unless they had been specially granted by the H Sondertreuhftnder wof the 0T.142. Tariffs for Firmenangehflrige in PranceA3 previously pointed out, tariffs vary according to the variouscountries in which the 0T was employed. It is, of course, far beyondthe scope of this book to illustrate the pay scales of all thoseterritories. However, an example of such tariffs may be of interest.33ie following pages will, therefore, give a short summary of the mostimportant tariff regulations operative in France. All employment and wages were regulated by a decree of the MilitaryCommander which became effective on 15th April 1944, and concerned itselfespecially with the Building and Construction Industry. Its rulingsapplied to all German firms of the industry in France and to all non-German firms under contract to a German firm. It covered all workerswhose residence was in France, with the exception of drivers, and includedalso workers from Belgium and Holland.French territory was divided into siat regions as follows:Region I. PARIS and similar localitiesII. Cities of more than 500,000 populationIII. Cities of more than 100,000 populationIV. Cities of more than 20,000 populationV. Cities of more than 5*000 populationVI* Cities of less than 5*000 populationThe actual wages paid vary according to those six regional classifications. The succeeding table shows wage gr^ups^according to thegroups.
