30. Het is heden 22 jaar geleden,<br />
dat ik voor deeze gemeente in mijn<br />
vaderland beroepen en bevestigd<br />
ben. Wat zal ik den Heere vergelden<br />
die mij zoo lange ondersteund<br />
en nu zelfs verwaardigd<br />
heeft om in ‘t Engelsch te prediken.<br />
Och Heere ik ben d’ Uwe, behoud<br />
en gebruik mij in Uw heiligen en<br />
zaligen dienst; laat de gemeente<br />
meer en meer opgebouwd en<br />
bevestigd worden in ’t Heilige<br />
gelo<strong>of</strong> en geev ons heil en<br />
voorspoed, dat wij zien en horen<br />
mogen, dat ’t Zion welga. De<br />
Heere sterke en bemoedige ons ook<br />
aan ‘t Heilig Avondmaal, en doe<br />
ons zijne heerlijkheid en sterkte<br />
zien in ’t Heiligdom, en ook mocht<br />
ons herte regt toebereid en wij<br />
geleid worden tot Gods huis en<br />
tafel en daar smaken en zien, dat de<br />
Heere vriendlijk en goed is.<br />
Vergeev, Vader, scheidingmakende<br />
zondeschulden, in ’t bloed Uwen<br />
Zoons; en geef een’ vrijen toegang<br />
met vertrouwen in een waaragtig<br />
herte, dat wij zoeken en vinden<br />
mogen. Sterkt dat op sterven ligt<br />
en vertroost onder lasten en kruis<br />

O, Lord, I am Thine. Preserve and<br />
use me in Thy Holy and Blessed<br />
Service, let the congregation be<br />
increasingly built and confirmed in<br />
the Holy Belief, and give us<br />
blessings and prosperity, that we<br />
may see and hear that Zion is<br />
prospering. May the Lord<br />
strengthen and encourage us, also<br />
at the Holy Supper, and make us<br />
see His glory and strength in the<br />
Sanctuary, and may our hearts also<br />
justly be prepared and we be led to<br />
God’s House and <strong>Table</strong> and there<br />
taste and see that the Lord is<br />
friendly and good. Forgive, Lord,<br />
separating sins, in the blood <strong>of</strong><br />
Thy Son, and provide free access<br />
with confidence in a truthful heart<br />
that we may seek and find.<br />
Strengthen those who are dying<br />
