III. Customer Support If you encounter a problem with the game or with other players while playing World of Warcraft, you can contact a game master (GM) for support. GMs are customer support representatives who are online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to assist you with any trouble you experience in the game. How to Contact a GM To contact a GM, click on the Help Request icon, which appears as a red question mark, at the bottom of your screen. Clicking the Help Request button opens up the Help menu. There are three choices on the Help Request screen. You can make a suggestion, submit a bug, or page a GM. To contact a GM, choose the Page a GM option. Contacting a GM in the Game At the next screen, you will want to select the category that fits closest to the issue you are trying to report. You will then be prompted to enter a subject for your ticket, and a description of your situation. Please try to be as descriptive as possible. After typing your description and clicking the Submit button, a ticket appears at the upper right corner of your screen. This tells you that you have an active ticket and that a GM will contact you. Once contacted, explain your situation to the GM. When the issue is resolved, the GM will erase the ticket from your screen. Contacting a GM Outside the Game If you cannot log into the game and wish to submit a concern to the GM staff, please use the web form located in the support section at: http://www.wow-europe.com/en/support 176
Identifying a GM Game masters can be identified in-game by the GM tag that accompanies their player name. For example: Taredan In addition, any message that a GM says in general or sends to you privately is prefaced with the “” tag. For example: “ Junco whispers: Hello…” GMs also look distinct, since they wear a unique game master uniform consisting of a dark blue robe that is unavailable to other players. GM-related Issues If you have a concern with a GM, or would like to send positive or negative feedback, please send an email to WoWConcernsEU@blizzard.com Account Issues If you have a problem with your account that prevents you from logging on, email WoWAccountReviewEU@blizzard.com describing your problem. Some problems that the account administration handles are account disputes, hacking, and account closures by the GM department. For billing issues, please use the web form at: http://en.wow-europe.com/support/webform Technical Support If you experience any technical difficulties while playing the game, please refer to the Troubleshooting and Technical Support section in Chapter 1: Installation. The GM staff is not trained to handle technical support, so please contact the technical support staff if your problem cannot be resolved through the steps outlined in Chapter 1.
