community. Over 165,000 people attended Hot Docs this
year, and each of these films attracted significant media
and public interest, and scored very highly in our audience
ratings. We are proud to present these films at DOK

StoryDoc is happy to be promoted as a DOK Leipzig
partner for the first time this year.
StoryDoc is a non-profit international educational institute
for documentaries based in Athens, Greece. StoryDoc
specializes in providing professional development training
to film makers, media producers and journalists. StoryDoc
training sessions focus on concept/idea development,
film structure, script development, production of professional
trailers, preparation for participation in pitching
forums, know-how and negotiations for international
co-productions as well as an introduction to and promotion
in the international television market. Since 2005,
StoryDoc has been successfully organizing residential
workshops, e-training, pitching and coaching sessions.
So far, StoryDoc has organized 20 international workshops
with a significant track record in producing results –
documentary films.
The workshops turn to filmmakers, media producers and
journalists specializing in international affairs and
investigative reports from
all over Europe and the
Middle East. Its activity is
to train and provide
consulting and marketing
services through educational
and professional
training programs. This is
accomplished through an
annual e-training program
which includes one to
one advising and residential workshops where participants
are assigned a personal tutor with whom they work
together to develop and improve their project.
Participants/Projects are selected after an international
open/public call. StoryDoc offers significant opportunities
to develop a complete production package and a professional
trailer which can be presented to the prestigious
international pitching forums. The last workshop/pitching
of the year attracts decision makers from the television,
media and film industries, international commissioning
editors, film funds, directors, producers and distributors.
