Who has not seen a recent request to offset carbon
pollution but who knows what this all means …
An up-close look at the insidious tango between govern-
ment and big polluters and investigates whether or
not carbon offsets are distracting us from what’s really
required to tackle the climate crisis. We learn that
the carbon market does little if anything to reduce
greenhouse gases and that these offset projects are
nothing more than schemes that provide false solutions.
To date, there has been over three hundred billion
dollars of carbon transactions worldwide. Instead of
focusing resources to move away from a fossil fuel
economy, massive international trading ventures have
been established as the solution.
castles anD palaces
of europe
by Jeremy J. p. fekete, gero von Boehm
No other part of the world boasts as many castles and
palaces as Europe. Kings and Princes built their palaces
and summer residences in the most beautiful and
strategically located spots. In the miniseries Castles and
Palaces of Europe. Following in the footsteps of Kings we
introduce individuals who walk the tightrope between
tradition and modern-day reality by living and work-
ing in castles, châteaux and palaces or in their immediate
vicinity. They will open doors that are normally closed
to the outside world and reveal captivating stories.
European history, regional traditions and ancient leg-
ends will come alive as we meet people who spend much
of their time within the ancient walls of these ‘stone
giants’ or have fallen under their spell at some point in
their lives.‘Castles and Palaces of Europe’ is a miniseries
of 5 films. Each episode present three castles or other
royal residences of a specific European region along with
special features of their surroundings. A breath-taking
aerial view leads us through the Loire Valley in
France, to southern Germany, the southeast of England,
the Piedmont in Italy and along Portugal’s coast.
