Born in a wealthy family, Tzvetanka passionately dreamed<br />
of becoming an actress as a child, but the history of<br />
her country completely changed her destiny. The 20th<br />
century was historically unique for Bulgaria; it survived<br />
the change of three epochs: monarchy, communism<br />
and democracy. The epochs were changing and along<br />
with them the country and the people living in it.<br />
Tzvetanka is the story of my grandmother who outlived<br />
these three epochs. Her life represents the stories<br />
of many others, of the society and the country itself.<br />

A problematic 12 year-old Mongolian kid Galbadrakh<br />
(Galaa), who has no father, tries to survive in a Mongolian<br />
ger (Mongolian house) district by selling goods on the<br />
black market and skipping school. However, one day his<br />
mother decides that Galaa should try becoming a<br />
lama, a Buddhist monk. This becomes the boy’s dream<br />
and a plan of survival. Galaa visits Pethub, one of the<br />
most disciplined Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia, and<br />
tries to be accepted. In order to achieve this aim, he<br />
needs to study hard, get permission from different high<br />
lamas and pass through the complicated bureaucracy<br />
of the monastery. Will he succeed ?<br />
