Doc Alliance
Six key European documentary film festivals have joined
forces and nominated one outstanding debut documentary
each. A jury of European film critics has chosen three
and one will be awarded with the Doc Alliance Award at

DOK Leipzig honours 25 years of POV with a selection

Documentary Campus Masterschool
Every year European producers and directors develop
documentaries for an international audience in the
framework of the Documentary Campus Masterschool
– one of Europe’s best and long-running vocational
training programmes. Two new, finished films are included
in the DOK Market.
FilmFestival Cottbus
An outstanding, Eastern-European film awarded at the
FilmFestival Cottbus last year.
Focus Saxony
Local and home-grown – three documentaries that have
been made by filmmakers from Saxony.
Leipzig Screening
A showcase of four, brand new and outstanding German
films, giving a glance of the contemporary documentary
film landscape in Germany.
DOK Market
In addition to the above mentioned sections, the DOK
Market features films suitable for international audiences,
promoting local and personal stories with cosmopolitan
appeal and general sales potential. Those films have been
recommended by our Festival selection committee
or submitted by renowned international sales companies.
