IGLESIA DE SAN FRANCISCO
The church of San Francisco in Lima is
one of the most impressive buildings of
the Viceregal period, started in 1546; it
consists of patios and gardens surrounded
by tiles from Seville, it has altars carved in
cedar with gold applications. The church
also has cloisters and a library with an
enviable collection of antiquarian books,
as well as a network of catacombs that is
open to the public.
La iglesia de San Francisco de Lima es
uno de los más impresionantes complejos
arquitectónicos del virreinato, que empezó a
construirse en 1546, y alberga patios y jardines
rodeados de azulejos sevillanos, altares tallados
en cedro con aplicaciones de oro, además de
la iglesia, claustros, una biblioteca que guarda
una envidiable colección de libros antiguos y
una red de catacumbas abierta al público.

Torre Tagle
The Main Square was where the city of Lima was
founded, firstly as the “City of Kings” in 1535, and then
as the capital of the Republic of Peru in 1821, the year
in which the country became independent.
La Plaza Mayor es el lugar donde se fundó la ciudad de Lima,
primero, como la Ciudad de los Reyes, en 1535, y luego,
como capital de la República del Perú en 1821, año de la
independencia del país.
In the centre of the city, the cathedral is Peru's most
important religious building. Its construction began
in 1542 on the site of an Inca shrine and it was
completed in 1622.
Ubicada en el centro de la ciudad, la Catedral de Lima es
el edificio religioso más importante del Perú. Se empezó a
construir en 1542 sobre un adoratorio inca y fue culminada
en el año 1622.
The Torre Tagle Palace is a colonial mansion in
the centre of Lima. It was built in 1735 and is an
authentic jewel of colonial-era architecture.
El Palacio de Torre Tagle es una mansión colonial ubicada en
el Centro de Lima. Fue construido en 1735 y es considerado
una auténtica joya de la arquitectura colonial.

Iglesia de Santo Domingo
After forty years of construction, the church of
Santo Domingo was completed at the end of the
16th Century. The church contains several altars and
sculptures from the Viceregal period and contains
stylistic elements from different centuries.
Después de cuarenta años de construcción, la iglesia de
Santo Domingo se terminó a finales del siglo XVI. La iglesia
concentra varios altares y esculturas del Virreinato y expone
manifestaciones estéticas de diferentes épocas.
