5.4 STAGE 3 AREAS OF CONTROL<br />
With the commissioning of the new <strong>RailCorp</strong> signalling on the main Auburn to Granville<br />
corridor changes will occur to the areas of control.<br />
<strong>RailCorp</strong> will control:<br />
• All movements along the Down Relief line including:<br />
� Movements to/from the Down Suburban<br />
� Exit from the eastern-end of Arrival/Departure/Storage Road (1-8), By Pass 1,<br />
Manildra /MainTrain Sidings<br />
� Arrival/Departure/Storage road (1-8) (Shall be under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong><br />
Co and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� Entrance & exit to Access Road 1<br />
� Entrance & exit to the western-end of:<br />
� Standing Road West (1-6) (Shall be under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong> Co and<br />
<strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� Wheel profile Road (The latter section shall be under ‘dual control’ by both<br />
<strong>PPP</strong> Co and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� Train Wash (The latter section shall be under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong> Co<br />
and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� By Pass 1 (The latter section shall be under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong> Co<br />
and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
<strong>PPP</strong> Co. Yard Control will control:<br />
• All mechanical yard points associated within the <strong>PPP</strong> Maintenance Facility<br />
• Signals and Points on:<br />
� Arrival/Departure/Storage road (1-8) (Shall be under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong><br />
Co and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� The western exits from Arrival/Departure/Storage roads (1-8) commencing at the<br />
<strong>PPP</strong> Co stop boards through to the Maintenance building including:<br />
� Standing Road East (1-6)<br />
� Standing Road West (1-6) (Shall be under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong> Co and<br />
<strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� The exit from the ‘one car’ MainTrain Siding including the derailer device<br />
� Train Washplant Road up to the western-end exit signal. (The latter section<br />
shall be under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong> Co and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� Wheel Profile Road up to the western-end exit signal. (The latter section shall<br />
be under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong> Co and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� Access Road 1 up to the western-end exit signal. (The latter section shall be<br />
under ‘dual control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong> Co and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� The By Pass 1 Road from the eastern connection to the MainTrain siding<br />
through to the exit signal from the west end of the By Pass1 road immediately<br />
adjacent to the Train Washplant Facility. (The latter section shall be under ‘dual<br />
control’ by both <strong>PPP</strong> Co and <strong>RailCorp</strong>)<br />
� The release of the Maintrain Siding to <strong>PPP</strong> Co By Pass Road 1 crossover<br />

The interfaces between the <strong>PPP</strong> Co. signalling and <strong>RailCorp</strong> signalling systems will be<br />
enhanced to provide increased flexibility and Dual Control of movements into / out of the<br />
<strong>PPP</strong> Co. Facility as detailed above including:<br />
