• Visual “normal” and “backup” power status and alarm indications are required. These<br />
indications are to be displayed locally at each supply location and remotely, on the<br />
Controller’s control panel, at the Control Centre<br />
10.3.6 SIGNALLING TELEPHONES<br />
Telephone requirements are shown in the table below:<br />

10.3.7 CONTROL SYSTEM<br />
10.3.7.1 Location<br />
A new computer based control system, provided by <strong>PPP</strong> Co., is required to control and<br />
monitor all train movements within the signalled areas of the <strong>PPP</strong> Yard Area and across the<br />
various interfaces with the <strong>RailCorp</strong> Network.<br />
The control system will be operated from a Control Room to be strategically located within<br />
the Yard Area so as to allow the Yard Controller to see as much of the Yard as possible.<br />
It is proposed that the Yard Control will be in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.<br />
10.3.7.2 Key Requirements and Functionality<br />
The control system must be in accordance with <strong>RailCorp</strong> standards and meet the following<br />
key requirements / functionality:<br />
• Reliability / Availability<br />
• Operator Interface<br />
• Cover the required control area<br />
• Train Describer facilities (For Arriving / Departing Services)<br />
• Automatic Train Reporting (ATR) facilities (For Arriving / Departing Services)<br />
• Electronic data logging and replay of all inputs and outputs.<br />
• Interface to relevant <strong>RailCorp</strong> train control systems<br />
