The control system must consist of a duplicated computer-based VDU (Visual Display Unit)<br />

system with automatic changeover (Hot Standby) facilities – to switch between computers in<br />

the event of one computer failing.<br />

The changeover between systems shall not affect availability of the overall signalling<br />

system.<br />

10.3.7.4 Operator Interface<br />

The Train Control System must have operator input controls and screen displays based on<br />

<strong>RailCorp</strong> standards. LCD wide-screen displays to be provided for the controller’s<br />

workstation.<br />

The control system must be capable of controlling and displaying, over the control area, the<br />

following:<br />
