The control system must consist of a duplicated computer-based VDU (Visual Display Unit)
system with automatic changeover (Hot Standby) facilities – to switch between computers in
the event of one computer failing.
The changeover between systems shall not affect availability of the overall signalling
system.
10.3.7.4 Operator Interface
The Train Control System must have operator input controls and screen displays based on
RailCorp standards. LCD wide-screen displays to be provided for the controller’s
workstation.
The control system must be capable of controlling and displaying, over the control area, the
following:
