12.1 GENERAL<br />

ROLLING STOCK <strong>PPP</strong> – DOUBLE DECK TRAINS<br />

MAINTENANCE FACILITY SPECIFICATION - ATTACHMENT 7<br />

ATTACHMENT 7 - SIGNAL FUNCTIONAL SPEC V7.DOC<br />

The Signalling must be in accordance with <strong>RailCorp</strong> standards for Signalling, and<br />

Communications systems.<br />

All materials used must meet the requirements set out in the relevant <strong>RailCorp</strong> standards.<br />

See the <strong>RailCorp</strong> website for details of the latest standards.<br />

Where there is no specific <strong>RailCorp</strong> standard the relevant Australian standards apply.<br />

12.2 CONSTRUCTION AREAS<br />

The relevant <strong>RailCorp</strong> and <strong>PPP</strong> Co. construction areas and responsibilities are shown in<br />

colour on a version of the signalling schematic drawings.<br />

The Concept Signalling requirements showing the Construction Areas for each of the stages<br />

are shown on the following A3 drawings:<br />

Stages 1 & 2 – Construction Areas SG0405311 (Sheet 1) To SG0405317 (Sheet 7)<br />

Stages 3 – Construction Areas SG0405318 (Sheet 1) To SG0405324 (Sheet 7)<br />

Copies of these drawings are included as Attachments 3 & 4 respectively<br />

12.3 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS<br />

Provision must be made for the Interfaces to the <strong>RailCorp</strong> network – including <strong>RailCorp</strong>’s<br />

control of all trains entering the By Pass 1, Arrival 1, Arrival 2 and Commissioning<br />

Track/Down Relief during stage 1 as detailed on the attached signalling drawings.<br />

Provision must also be made during the construction of Stage 1 for the requirements of<br />

Stages 2 & 3.<br />

These requirements include:<br />

• All cable routes, underline crossings and pits<br />

• All conduits including spares<br />

• Buildings<br />

• Location cases<br />

• Power supplies<br />

• Interfaces to the <strong>RailCorp</strong> network<br />

• Suitable method of access by <strong>RailCorp</strong> personnel<br />
