3.1.1 Site Earthworks<br />
<strong>Rolling</strong> <strong>Stock</strong> <strong>PPP</strong> – <strong>Double</strong> <strong>Deck</strong> <strong>Trains</strong><br />
Maintenance Facility Works Specification<br />

<strong>PPP</strong> Co must design and construct all Site Earthworks required to prepare the<br />
Construction Site (including levels and structure), the connecting roads and Site Trackwork<br />
for the construction of the Maintenance Facility Works, including but not limited to:<br />
(a) the Maintenance Building;<br />
(b) the Underfloor Wheel Profiling Plant Building;<br />
(c) the Washplant Building;<br />
(d) the Wheel Condition Monitoring Machine;<br />
(e) the Simulator Area; and<br />
(f) the Site Works.<br />
3.1.2 Utility Services<br />
<strong>PPP</strong> Co must design, construct and commission the Utility Services. The scope of work<br />
must include:<br />
(g) locating, securing or relocating as necessary all existing Utility Services on the<br />
Construction Site, as well as taking account of those (future/proposed) services<br />
shown on the Auburn Masterplan and the <strong>RailCorp</strong> Maintenance Facility<br />
Reference Design to be located in or reticulated to adjoining land parcels. <strong>PPP</strong><br />
Co must preserve or realign the existing easements and Utility Services such as<br />
the electrical easement between the Metro Division Re-railing Building and the<br />
<strong>RailCorp</strong> Central Warehouse as shown on the Auburn Masterplan included at<br />
Attachment 1; and<br />
(h) providing all Utility Services, and all connections for all Utility Services required<br />
for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Maintenance<br />
Facility. These Utility Services, and the related connections include but are not<br />
limited to power for all purposes (including any high voltage and/or low voltage<br />
substations to be provided by Energy Australia and/or <strong>PPP</strong> Co, but not<br />
including the substation and related power feed for the Overhead Traction<br />
Power System), yard control measures, gas, water, fire protection, sewerage,<br />
drainage, environmental protection, telecommunications, and lighting for the<br />
Maintenance Facility.<br />
(i) <strong>PPP</strong> Co is not required to make provision for the supply of gas services to the<br />
Maintenance Facility<br />
All Utility Services must be designed so that they do not adversely impact on <strong>RailCorp</strong><br />
assets and must be clearly marked as to their nature. All buried and/or concealed Utility<br />
Services must be provided with clearly visible above-ground and, where appropriate,<br />
below-ground markers that clearly identify the Utility Services and their location and<br />
contain an appropriate description of the Utility Services.<br />
