ki the person on the other end is genuine??”
Kaka remembered getting extremely disturbed by
Haddi’s question. Since he had been chatting with Preeti
that very second, he asked her to call him as soon as
possible. To his relief and Haddi’s embarrassment, Preeti
had agreed to talk to him the very next day at 10:30am.
Haddi however still insisted kaka to take all this with a
pinch of salt.
“Upto the point she actually talks to you, don’t take all
this very seriously”.
And here he was waiting for her call. The next 2 minutes
were going to either prove him to be a bond or a
phenomenal fool who had been wasting his time over
some random person. He gave a sigh of relief when at
10:29, a full minute earlier than the prescribed time, the
phone rang and asked for Kaka. Kaka took the receiver
from daulatram-ji and started talking
“Hi. This is preeti”
“Hey Preeti, you are a full one minute early”
“Haha, I couldn’t wait anymore. “
“It’s so nice to finally hear your voice. You have no idea
how confused I was yesterday when Haddi questioned
your existence. I couldn’t counter him. If you hadn’t
called today, I don’t know what I would have done.”
“Don’t worry about it. I hope now your friends would
stop making fun of you. You can now go and tell them.
Preeti actually exists. I must say one thing though. You
should have taken this initiative a bit earlier, I so
wanted to talk to you. But you know, I am a girl. Didn’t
wanna initiate it myself. Would have appeared
desperate”
