As they approached further they saw a jeep coming out
of the SiS office from between the not-so-dense vines.
Located just adjacent to the ShopC, the SiS office played
host to the vehicles and meetings of SiS guards. SiS or
security and intelligence services was a security firm
that was incharge of the security in IITk campus. As
nothing inauspicious ever happened in the campus, the
security guards ended up giving hard time to rickshaw
drivers and triple seated students on bikes and scooters
most of the time.
“Creak! Creak!”
They were now crossing the intersection of probably two
of the longest roads on campus.
The road on the left extended right upto the IITk power
substation. The road also played host to a number of
high-profile quarters like the Director’s bungalow, The
IITk guest house and two schools. Meanwhile the road
on the right extended up to the IITk nursery and housed
the Auditorium. Straight ahead was hostel number 2 or
hall-2 as it was named. Right next to the intersection on
the left was the student activity center or the SAC. A
building which was constituted of the placement office,
music club, book club, a restaurant and a number of
empty rooms which were used for a variety of things like
dance practice (During antaragni or freshers nite)
,control center (during TechKriti) etc. The biggest room
was reserved for the Student senate meetings. Student
senate constituted elected members of the student body
and faculty representatives. Student senate debated
topics ranging from the Menu of prize distribution
ceremonies to Banning Haddi and Untees from the interiit
team.
“Abe Haddi, kucch update mili tum logo ki case ki”
inquired Axle
“Nope” replied Haddi without taking his eyes off the
SAC.
