An Escape from CHM201
After a pretty eventful few days, summer semester
began for CHM 201 people. Efforts from the students
and the Dean of Academic Affairs had ensured that the
course got offered during the summer semester.
Everybody was really serious towards studies for the
first few classes. Afterall they had a promise to uphold.
Everyone was an ideal student for that duration; waking
up on early in the morning, having a bath, taking
breakfast and then going to class. The fact that the class
was at 7:30 in the morning seemed to have no effect on
them. It was hard to differentiate that these were the
same people who had trouble attending the 11:00
o’clock class just a few weeks ago. Haddi, Untees and
kaka bought new copies and multicolored ball pens so as
to take detailed notes (which was a big deal considering
that they had not bought any kind of stationary for the
last one year), Mariyal had bought a new alarm clock to
wake up every morning, Axle had halted his hacking
activities after 1:00 in the night, Chashmish was
sleeping for just 10 hours and vodka had significantly
reduced his talk-time on the cellphone. He was down to
like 2 recharges a week from 4. All in all people had
made significant changes in their life to align themselves
with the current scenario.
All of them quietly went to L7 every morning and
listened to Prof. Roy’s lecture on physical chemistry.
Haddi, Untees and kaka wrote three to four pages of
lecture notes every day in technicolor. And as a symbol
of his increasing passion towards studies kaka started
bringing a ruler in class from the second lecture
”Abe diagram banayenge acche se” was his reasoning
when asked about it.
“Abe Haddi hum bhi scale layenge agle hafte se” Untees
said to Haddi; clearly he was very impressed at Kaka’s
initiative.
