Kaka was taken aback. Instead of Preeti’s soft and sweet<br />
voice wh<strong>at</strong> he heard was a deep voice of some guy.<br />
“Lagta hai wrong number lag gaya” he thought and said<br />
“Ummm… preeti…… hai…… kya?” half expecting the<br />
other person to say wrong number and hang up on him<br />
“Haan hai na. Lo ba<strong>at</strong> karo” came a reply and kaka was<br />
full confused.<br />
“Lagta hai preeti ka bhai hai” kaka thought. The next<br />
voice he heard was the familiar sweet voice of Preeti<br />
“Hey kaka. I am so sorry. It was not my idea. I am so<br />
sorry”<br />
“Are nahi Preeti sorry ki koi ba<strong>at</strong> nahi. Main to bas yeh<br />
pooch raha tha ki kitni……….” this is when kaka paused<br />
and processed the last sentence of Preeti.”It was not my<br />
idea?? Wh<strong>at</strong> does th<strong>at</strong> mean”. He was still deciphering<br />
those cryptic words when the deep voiced guy was back<br />
on the line again.<br />
“Ka be chirkut. Kaisi lag rahi hai dilli”<br />
Kaka was dumbfounded. He couldn’t process wh<strong>at</strong> was<br />
going on.<br />
“B<strong>at</strong>ao na be. Chup kyon ho gaye IITK ke sher”<br />
Kaka still blank<br />
“Kya hua? McD pasand nahi aaya kyaa??”<br />
Then it struck him. He knew this voice. He had known it<br />
for the past 2 years and heard it everyday.<br />
“Haddi!!! tu????”<br />
This is when kaka heard a laugh-riot erupt on the other<br />
end of the line and kaka knew wh<strong>at</strong> had happened. He<br />
had been super played. After the laugh riot died down
