When tomorrow came and all of them picked up their
copies, they were not a wee bit surprised to see that the
professor had done relentless checking. Partial marking
was non-existant. He had either given full marks or no
marks at all.
“Saala kyaa grading kiya hai be yeh” Axle was found
cribbing.
“By god. Saala waat lag li hai” Chashmish added.
Untees, Haddi and kaka were busy convincing the TA to
let out the class average. The TA initially resisted but
then let slip that all of them were just below class
average which basically meant all of them were on a
Cikka and dikka border. Untees gave a sigh of relied
when he heard that. He just wanted a dikka and wanted
to get over with this course. Everyone else mirrored his
feelings. The TA also let it know that the professor was
going to grade in the afternoon and will be submitting
the F list by 4 o’clock so everyone who felt they were at
risk should go and check it out on the notice board by
4:30pm. All of them had initially ignored this part of his
announcement but revisited it when Mariyal expressed
his concern while they were having lunch
“Hum logo ko fakke ki list dekhne jaana padega”
“Kahe be Mariyal. Saala cool cool cikka, dikka aayega
apna. Fakke par to ab hum kahin se kahin tak nahi hai”
Untees replied matter of factly.
“Untees don’t you remember the day he saw us in the
ShopC. I could see hatred raining out of his eyes.
Additionally I m not sure he made such a difficult
question paper and did ridiculous grading not to fail
everyone. Mere khayaal se hum log mast chal ke sote
hai abhi. We’ll get up and just go see it. Kuchh bigad
nahi jaega hum logo ka. This way we’ll be sure that we
are through.”
