hungry by that time and decided to go to the mess to
have a quick breakfast. After a quick snack they were
heading towards L-7 in order to give their exam. They
went and settled in the last row of L-7 with Chashmish
in the middle and everyone else spread uniformly
around him. At 7:55 the teaching assistants of prof. Roy
came in and distributed blank answer sheets to
everyone. At 8:00 prof. Roy entered the lecture hall and
gave thick question papers to the Teaching assistants to
be distributed. By the time question paper got to
Chashmish, he had already realized that the paper was
extremely tough based on the dejected expression on
the faces of people in front of him. The same
expressions came on his face as soon as he saw the
question paper. It was 26 pages long!! Prof. Roy had
apparently put in all his efforts to make sure none of
them passed the course. Chashmish regained his calm
after a few minutes of panic and started reading the
question paper. Although it was lengthy and confusing
the core questions were not that hard. It was just a
matter of quickly interpreting them. He started solving
the questions and within a matter of minutes he knew
he can make it which automatically meant his friends
could also make it. Although there was a gap of one seet
in between, Chashmish started whispering question
numbers, a brief approach to solving the problems and
the final answers to the people sitting next to him. The
people sitting next to him did the same which ensured
that everyone in the group knew how to solve the
problems and what the expected answers were. All of
them had studied at least that much to ensure they
could get the answer somehow. Three hours went in a
jiffy. Although none of them could finish the papers in
full, they didn’t care. They had solved enough questions
to make sure that they were in the green. All of them
got out and gave a grand treat to Chashmish in the
canteen. All of them were sure they had passed. All they
needed to do now was to wait for the results. They
didn’t have to wait long, at around 1pm they received an
email from Prof Roy asking them to come and pick up
