“He is out of danger. He just has some injuries on this
head and a broken leg. He is going to be fine. What I
don’t understand is how he didn’t get more hurt? He fell
from the roof right??”
“Yes that is correct but fortunately there was
construction going on behind the B-wing and the
workers had dug up the whole area and put in water in
it. It was practically a mud pond that the guy fell into.”
Replied Chashmish
“Good Good. Well you guys can give a treat to the
workers when they come back tomorrow. I have put
that guy to sleep. All of you can now go and take rest”
The crowd dispersed in a jiffy. The seven of them
started making their way back from the Health center to
the hostel. They were just crossing the intersection in
front of the girl’s hostel when Chashmish said
“I think we should keep the promise that we made”
This statement of Chashmish sparked off an intense
debate between two factions in the group. One faction
which considered the promise to be something they
gave to a delirious guy in order to make him feel better
was not so keen on taking it seriously. The other felt like
doing it just to keep their word. Chashmish led the
second faction and made some significant points which
eventually made the entire group to agree on keeping
up the promise. Although the first faction agreed
extremely reluctantly Chashmish did not care as long as
they did.
