He was someone who fitted the definition of a “Maggu”<br />
perfectly. He apparently suffered from a serious lack of<br />
any kind of social intelligence.<br />

Charu as he rode parellel to the rickshaw.<br />

Apparently Axle had understood th<strong>at</strong> there was no point<br />
talking to the guy and it was best to diffuse the<br />
situ<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />
The rickshaw slowed down as it approached the<br />
destin<strong>at</strong>ion, hall-2. This is when Charu rode ahead of<br />
them, entered the hall and disappeared towards his<br />
wing.<br />
“creak! creak! screech!!”<br />
The rickshaw stopped in front of the small Hall-2 g<strong>at</strong>e<br />
and joined two others which were already there. Haddi,<br />
Untees and Axle were the last ones to arrive. Haddi<br />
jumped off the rickshaw and looked towards hall-2, one<br />
of the three major hostels of IITk. Although not the<br />
biggest, it was a huge hostel. With two floors all around<br />
and a number of lush green grounds on the<br />
circumference, hall-2 was a pretty nice habit<strong>at</strong>. It was<br />
divided into 7 sections, A to G. Furthermore every<br />
section had three floors (after including the ground<br />
floor) which were known as top, mid and bot. In other<br />
words there were a total of 21 wings going from A-bot to<br />
G-top. Each wing had around 15 rooms with each room<br />
housing two persons. But a wing was much more than<br />
th<strong>at</strong>. It was where 30 friends lived as a family. It was<br />
where they fought and befriended. It was as a wing<br />
th<strong>at</strong> people particip<strong>at</strong>ed in intra-hall activities. A wing<br />
had it’s own identity and personality. It was an integral<br />
part of the identity of a student <strong>at</strong> IITK. All seven of
