shortly where a guy with a big mustache scanned the
rickshaw-wala with his eyes and decided to let him go.
The rickshaw came to a halt some 50 meters ahead of
the checkpoint and started waiting for Axle.
“Ghar pe kyaa bataoge?” asked Untees to Haddi who
was looking intently at the sky. It took him a while to
break his stream of thought. After he gained control,
Haddi took a deep breath and replied.
“Abhi tak kuchh socha nahi. Tu??”
“Wahi pichle saal waala. keh doonga ki DS part 2 hone
wala hai is baar” cheeked Untees.
DS or the Introduction to data structures course was a
professional course offered at IITK during summer. It’s
aim was to reinforce computer science skills of students.
It was quiet easily the one course most parents whose
children were at IITK knew about. DS was the common
reason most of the children who got a Fakka and had to
stay in the campus during summer stated to their
parents. It was a safe and secure reason. And moreover
it supplied a genuine reason to ask for money (Which
was incidently required to register for the makeup
course, mess bills and beer)
Haddi gave a smile after he heard this. He had instantly
recalled Untees’s coversation with his parents from last
year in a situation similiar to this. Untees had failed in a
course and was planning to take a makeup course. He
remembered sitting in hall-2 quad discussing with kaka
and Untees discussing what reason Untees should state
to his parents.
“Abe suno, mujhe lagta hai ek baar ghar ho aao aur
bata do gharwalo ko ki galti se fail ho gaye ho” Kaka had
suggested after a lot of thought
