Even the temptation of an all expense paid trip to Goa
didn’t seem to break his resolve.
An hour later however Haddi was sitting in a Toyota
qualis with 4 other people listening to Babuji zara
dheere chalo and sipping on a bottle of kingfisher while
shouting
“Goa!!! Yuhoo!!! Here we come!!!”
He had caved in. He was now heading towards goa with
Axle. He wasn’t being a complete jackass though. He
had packed his ECO202 notebook and class notes with
him.
“I just have to study. Doesn’t matter whether I do it in
Kanpur or Goa” He had thought.
4 days, 8 bottles of feni, 4 bottles of whiskey and 15
bottles of beer later Haddi was back at IITK at 6am on
Wednesday morning. He had lost his ECO202 notes in
some bar in goa, his head was throbbing and he had his
midterms at 8:00AM. In other words he gave the
1st midterm with zero preparation and a blood-alcohol
level ten times higher than normal. "Disaster", yes that’s
the word Prof Mao had used to describe his performance
while giving him his answer sheet. He had got 3/30 in
the midterm while the class average was close to 21.
“I wonder; if I can get 3 marks with absolutely zero prep
in such a course, I definitely am a dussa material. Just
gotta be a little more focused the next sem. I will do
this. I will get a Dussa the next sem” Haddi remembered
explaining GDrive who had blasted Haddi for his
performance.
The next few weeks however removed the word Dussa
from Haddi’s dictionary as his entire focus shifted
