them were a part of B-bot, a wing located on the ground
floor of the rightmost section of the hostel. There was a
separate pathway that went around the gardens and led
straight to B-bot. The Pathway was lit by lamps and
provided a wonderful sight to anybody walking on it. But
this sight was pinching Haddi as he walked on the
pathway along with six others. He was thinking deeply
about the today’s events. It had been a roller coaster
ride. From getting a dikka in a course in which he was
sure to get a fakka he had went to getting a fakka in a
course where he had a sure shot dikka. Haddi’s stream
of thought was broken by a loud shout from Vodka
“Abe Haddi, maarenge mar jaoge! Chalo na jaldi, daaru
peeni hai”
Haddi’s legs had not kept up with his thoughts. While
everyone else had already reached the wing, he was still
quiet a distance from it. Haddi’s quickened his pace to
join the rest of the group in B-bot. The rest of the group
sans Chashmish who was having some additional
problems due to the shortcut he had took. After getting
into the hall, Chashmish had decided to diagonally cut
across the garden behind the C-wing instead of going
through the regular and longer pathway What he had
forgot to consider was that the garden was full of water.
The gardeners of the Hall had a feeling that if they were
not drowning the grass in water then it would become
yellow. So Every night they used to connect a pipe to
the tap in the center of the garden, lay it in the middle
of the garden and turned it on.Consequently the garden
had a full 2-3 inch layer of water which had turned areas
where any grass was absent into a mud pond.
Unfortunately Chashmish’s shortcut took him right
through the mud pond. As a result he had to attend to
the 3kg of mud and grass leaves attached to his slippers
and the place to do that was the royal B-bot bathroom.
There are a very few places in the world where the
Bathrooms are more lavish than the buildings where
they reside. IIT Kanpur’s hall-2 was one of such places.
With it’s crystal clear tiles, Infrared flushing systems and
