Chashmish looked up to see who had asked him the
question and saw Charu gupta sitting on the same table
eating breakfast. Normally Chashmish wouldn’t have
replied him but he seriously felt like talking to
somebody.
“They are bad. Lagta nahi kal koi pass ho payega.
Seems tough. Everyone is very despondent. And the
thing I am worried about is that all of them are gonna
get their degree extended. I am sure none of them are
capable of it but I don’t want anyone of them to jump
off the roof. They are all too precious to me”
Charu heard everything very patiently then said
“Everything will be fine” and went away.
“Ghanta Everything will be fine!!” Chashmish rejected
Charu’s pep talk, finished his breakfast and went back to
his wing. He felt like taking a shower and instantly
headed towards the bathroom where the first shower
seemed occupied. Chashmish was crossing the first
shower when he realized the shower door was open. He
peeped in and saw Haddi lying there with water flowing
on his legs. Chashmish sprung into action. He called out
to Champak who was roaming in the wing. Both of them
dried up Haddi and put him on a bed in his room. Bhola
was instructed not to leave him out of his sight. Bhola
agreed and took responsibility of him. As soon as both
of them got out of Haddi’s room they saw Untees
wavering in the wing.
“Aee Chashmish. Yeh le paisa. Jaa ke beer le ke aa”
Untees caught hold of Chashmish and inserted a 500
rupee note in his pocket. He then collapsed and puked in
the corridor. Chashmish and Champak took him to the
bathroom, made him gargle and then made him sleep in
his room. Untees’s roommate too was instructed not to
