“Hi My name is Yuvraaj. Yuvraaj Singh. I am Neha’s
fiance”
Haddi’s face drained. He dropped in his chair like a stone
in water while the guy continued around the table
making acquaintances. Haddi’s eyes became red and
two pearly teardrops appeared at their corners. He then
stared with those eyes towards Neha for the next 40
min.
“Why? Why? Why?” The eyes shouted. For a split second
during that interval Haddi felt like telling Yuvraaj how
Neha had played with him. He wanted to shout. But then
a voice in his mind calmed him down.
“You loved her right. If at all your love was true and you
have an iota of respect for it, let it go. Drink this ocean
of sadness. Don’t drown her in it”
Untees also had gotten the hint as to not speak anything
in this regard. He however spent the entire time ripping
apart whatever yuvraaj said. By the time the party got
over, Haddi was completely drained. He couldn’t think
anymore. All he wanted to do was to just go to the
hostel and disappear.
“Untees. I want to be alone for a while” said Haddi As
soon as the crowd dispersed and Untees tried to console
him. Untees got the point and decided to let him go. As
Haddi was dissolving in the horizon, Untees’s eye went
on a shiny object that seemed to call out to him from
within all the dust that was embracing it. Haddi knelt
down and cleaned the dust when he realized what it
was. It was the ring Haddi was going to give to Neha.
Untees picked it up and kept it in his pocket. He then
decided to go to the computer center with Aneesha.
Untees was extremely distraught with what had
happened. He held off his questions upto the point both
him and Aneesha were in the computer center and had
logged into the computers
