walking through the corridor when Untees suddenly
started shouting.
“Tum ek number ke ghatia insaan ho be. Kyon chale
aaye ho yahan” This took Haddi completely by surprise.
Before Untees started shouting, Haddi was walking
normally with his eyes on the ground. He looked
towards Untees to see what was wrong with him. As
soon as he looked up the picture became quiet clear to
him. Charu gupta was crossing them in the corridor
coming in from the opposite side. Since their encounter
on the cycle rickshaw, Untees had made it a point to
make his life as miserable as possible at whatever
chance he got. After a heated exchange of words,
Untees and the rest proceeded to their wing. From
where they entered the wing, Untees’s room was the
first to come.
”Shaam ko milte hai Haddi” he said and entered his
room.
“Ok” replied Haddi as he continued walking with the
others. Shortly thereafter he was the only one left
walking towards his room.
“Ab saala kyaa kare” Haddi mused. He wasn’t sleepy at
all. His mind was full of good thoughts. He didn’t wanna
be alone. All he wanted to do was to hear some good
romantic songs and keep picturing Neha in his head. He
instantly thought of Champak. He had a very good
collection of video songs on his computer and was
always enthusiastic about watching them.
“Haan saala usi ke kamre pe chalte hai” thought Haddi.
Champak’s room was pretty close to Haddi’s. Haddi was
almost there. The door of Champak’s room was ajar and
Haddi could hear a faint tune of his favorite song playing
on the computer. Without bothering to knock, Haddi
banged into Champak’s room.
