“Oops. I am so sorry. Sorry to wake you up so early”
Neha replied apologetically
“It’s ok. No worries. By the way before you hang up….
You have a great voice”
“Thanks…..bbye” Neha said softly and hung up.
“That was pleasant” Haddi said to himself.
Haddi took a deep breath and felt the cold morning air
go deep into his lungs.His face lit by the scattered
sunlight coming through the lush green trees at the
entrance of the hall. After giving a long yawn Haddi
started walking back to his room. As he was walking
across the corridor he saw some monkeys lunging up
and down the trees adjacent to the corridor. He sped up
his pace. He was really not interested in having an early
morning tryst with IITK’s most notorious animals. By the
time he reached his wing his sleep was almost gone and
he decided to take a detour to the bathroom. He entered
the bathroom, took some water from the sink tap and
threw it on the face. He then decided to wash his hands
and feet. Since it was kinda difficult (Not impossible) to
do that in the sink, he decided to move to the shower.
He moved towards first of the four showers, opened it’s
door and saw something really surprising. Instead of
finding an empty shower floor lined with green granite
tiles he found a much disheveled creature lying there. It
was Chashmish.
Chashmish was sitting in the corner of the shower room
with his back on the wall and legs outstretched. With
one hand he held a half-empty bottle of beer while the
other had a cigarette butt in it. With his neck slightly
tilted towards his left shoulder, Chashmish presented a
perfect example of why one shouldnt go to bathroom too
drunk. Apparently when he went in the bathroom last
night he never came out.
