And I learned them then, too. But
then I went away.
I met other people and heard other
stories, from the papers.
Stories that people were telling
back and forth.
I was forgetting the stories my
father had.
Once upon a time Scandinavians
used to come on raids in ships to
Uist.
This time they happened to come to
a place called Balranald in North
Uist.
They were raiding cattle there and
were looking out towards Haisgeir.
They didn't know how to get there.
It was night time and they landed
the boat in Paible and went ashore.
