Marl variant. New Seville is so far the unique site to have produced syncretic<br />

“ Hispanic- Indian” ware. The recorded Redware sites all have at least some material<br />

included in the collection, as do the Montego Bay <strong>and</strong> Port Morant sites, except<br />

for one absentee in each case. But, the collection includes material from only<br />

120 middens <strong>and</strong> 24 caves attributed to the White Marl variant.<br />

In general, the inventory of finds in the Lee Collection is somewhat uneven,<br />

some well- known sites being poorly represented or altogether absent. But it is<br />

still remarkable <strong>and</strong> informative, including material from some sites that have<br />

been destroyed, <strong>and</strong> practically complete assemblages from a small number of
