Maxim Kukarev is a Client Technical Specialist working on System z for <strong>IBM</strong> Russia and has<br />

worked for <strong>IBM</strong> for 5 years. He has 9 years of experience in working with the System z<br />

platform. His areas of expertise include installation and implementation of SAP solutions in<br />

high availability mode based on DB2 9 and 10 for z/OS.<br />

Oliver Petrik is a Software Developer with the <strong>IBM</strong> Platform Team for SAP on System z in<br />

Böblingen and St. Leon-Rot, Germany. He has 13 years of experience on the System z<br />

platform. His areas of expertise include virtualization (<strong>IBM</strong> System z, z/VM®, VMware,<br />

kernel-based virtual machine (KVM)) and Linux. Oliver has written extensively about SAP<br />

installation, OS monitoring, and virtualization. He holds a diploma in mathematics from the<br />

University of Düsseldorf in Germany.<br />

Franz Voelker is a Sr. Consultant and Technical Presales Specialist in the <strong>IBM</strong> SAP<br />

International Competency Center (ISICC) in Walldorf, Germany. He joined <strong>IBM</strong> in 1978 and<br />

has been with the company for 30 years. He has more than 10 years of experience in<br />

servicing the manufacturing industry and another 14 years of experience in consulting with<br />

banks about systems integration and service-oriented architecture (SOA). He specializes in<br />

System z solutions, and since 2004, has been focusing on SAP infrastructures. He is a<br />

coauthor of the book SAP auf Linux, written in German and published by SAP Press 2007,<br />

and is a regular speaker at SAP TechEd and other conferences. Franz has a diploma in<br />

applied physics from the University of Dortmund/Hagen in Germany.<br />
