For SAP J2EE engines, keep in mind the following considerations:
► On Linux on System z, the minimum JDK release is IBM 1.4.2 SR13 FP9.
► Disable progressive LOB streaming to guarantee a behavior that is consistent with the
SAP J2EE engine. The handling of progressive LOB streaming is changed in DB2 10.
With DB2 9, progressive streaming was disabled by setting zPARM PRGSTRIN to DISABLE.
With DB2 10, the behavior must be specified in the JDBC URL as follows:
a. Open the AS Java - Config Tool for 7.30 in the
/usr/sap///j2ee/configtool directory
b. In the left navigation pane (Figure 4-9), expand cluster-data and select Secure Store.
c. On the Connection Pools tab (right pane in Figure 4-9), for Key, select Url. For Value,
enter ProgressiveStreaming=2. Do not add any spaces to the URL.
d. Click Add.
