Updating the SAP binary files
Before you update the SAP binary files, shut down the SAP NetWeaver AS.
Updating the SAP kernel binary files
1. Log on as the SAP system administrator adm.
2. Switch to the executable directory:
cdexe
3. Extract the SAPDB and SAPDBEXE SAR packages, and then apply all other patches.
4. Assign file rights by running the following command:
su root -c saproot.sh
Updating the SAP Host Agent package
The SAPHOSTAGENT package contains all of the required elements for centrally monitoring
any host. Using the RPM Package Manager, install the new version of the SAP Host Agent.
For example, enter the following command:
rpm -i saphostagentrpm_72-20005740.rpm
