of thy Subjects upon an Expedition into Libya<br />

againft the Cyrenians, where his Army having ill<br />

Succefs, the Egyptians entertaining an Opinion that<br />

the Army was fent upon this Expedition on purpofe<br />

to be deftroyed, thereupon Mutinied againft him,<br />

and fet up oAmafis to be their King.<br />

Rivers.'] By this is Metaphorically exprefTed his<br />

undertaking a foreign Expedition : The Expreflion<br />

alludes to the Nature of a Crocodile, who is not<br />

confined to the Water, but ufeth to come upon the<br />

Land, where he is frequently taken.<br />
