Chapter Ibid. Iwillcanfe the Tift of thy River to fick to
XXIX. thy Scales, a?id I will bring thee out of the midfi of
l^VNJ thy Rivers, &c] Thou (halt fend a great Number
of thy Subjects upon an Expedition into Libya
againft the Cyrenians, where his Army having ill
Succefs, the Egyptians entertaining an Opinion that
the Army was fent upon this Expedition on purpofe
to be deftroyed, thereupon Mutinied againft him,
and fet up oAmafis to be their King.
Ibid. I will bring thee out of the midfi of thy
Rivers.'] By this is Metaphorically exprefTed his
undertaking a foreign Expedition : The Expreflion
alludes to the Nature of a Crocodile, who is not
confined to the Water, but ufeth to come upon the
Land, where he is frequently taken.
