The Prophet explains what fort of Cubit
he means in the following Delineation of the
Temple, viz. fuch a one as confifts of fix Handbreadths,
or one Hand-breadth over the Cubit
ufed in Chaldea, where he now lived. Comp.
Chap. xli. 8. xliii. 13. This is the Meafureof a
Scripture Cubit, generally agreed to be equivalent
to eighteen Inches, or a Foot and a half of
our Meafure: See Bp Cumberland of Scripture
Weights andMeafures, p. 36, &c.
