up fix Cubits, and the Entrance of the Porch to
be 14 Cubits, both thole Dimensions make up the
length of the. Porch to be twenty Cubits from
North to South, according to the Mcafure fet down
in the following Verfe. This Interpretation is
countenanced by the Septuagint, who tran flat e
the latter Part of the Verie thus : And
the breadth
of the Gate fourteen Cubits, and the fides of the
Gate ofthe Torch, three Cubits on this fide, and
three Cubits on thatfide.
Ver 40 ^er. 4~ 9, The length of the Torch was twenty
) Cubits.^ The fame Length with the Porch of
Solomons Temple, 1 Kings vi. 3. which being
there faid to be of the fame Meafure with the
Breadth, of the Houfe, muft be underftood of its
Dimenfions from North to South.

ings being commonly double to the Breadth :
