The City Tyre having been taken by him the
Year before, after Thirteen Years Siege. Concerning
which Event, Dr. Trideaux hath obferved
that the Chronology of the Thenician oAn-
nals, (the Extracts of which may be feen in
Jofephus Lib. i . Contr. eApion.) exactly agrees
with the Time the Prophet Ezekiel aftigns for
the taking of Tyre. See his Connect, of Script.

Siege lafted Thirteen Years, as hath been already
obferved ; till the Heads of their Soldiers became
bald with continual wearing their Helmets,
and the Skin was worn off their Shoulders
with carrying Earth to raife Mounts and
Fortifications againft it. See Chap. xxvi. 8.
