Ibid. And the Waters came down from under the
right-fide of the Houfe, at the South-fide of the Altar. ~\
This is fpoke with refpect to thofe that come out
of the Temple, and direct their Faces Eaftward,
for then the South-fide is on a Man's Right-hand.
Thefe Waters were conveyed by the right-fide of
the Altar, into a Room they called the Well-room :

Ver. 2. Then brought he me out of [or by] the Ver. 2.
Way of the Gate, North-ward.'] The Eaft-gate
being fhut: See Chapt. xlvi.i. The Prophet in this
Vifion is led to the North-gate of the inner
Court.

utter Gate.~\ He led me into the outward Court, and
fo on till he came to the outmoft North- Wall, that
encompafTed the whole Mountain of the Lord's-
Houfe : See Chapt. xlii. 20.
Ibid. By the way that looketh Eajlward.~\ when
the Prophet was come quite through all the Courts,
and is on the outfide of the outermoft, he is dire-
cted to come from the North-gate toward the Eaft-
gate.
Ibid. And behold there ran Waters out on the rightfide.
~\ On the South-fide : See Ver. 1. Thefe
were the fpare Waters not ufed in the Service of
the Temple, which were conveyed away by the
Eaft-part of the Mountain, and by Degrees en-
creafed its Stream, till it became a River, and fell
at laft into the Vead-Sea : See Ver, 8, 10. and
Comp. Joel iii. 1 8.
