Figure of the Condition of the Jews when they<br />

were to be aftonied one with another : Chap. iv.<br />

17. Another caufe of his filence might be by way<br />

of Reproo r to them for disbelieving what he had<br />

before delivered by the commands of God. See<br />

the Note on Chap, xxxii. 22. xxiv. 17. And becaufe<br />

they regarded not° the Words, which God<br />

commanded him to fpeak to them, he was rfire&ed<br />

to inftruct them only by Signs, fuch as are thofe<br />

Emblems of the Siege contained in the next<br />

forbeareth, let him forhear.~\ The Turn ofwhat thou<br />

fhalt fay unto them is this : to let them know that<br />

this is the laft Warning God will give them, and<br />

therefore let them take it as fuch, and either give<br />

heed to what is faid to them, or negleft it at their<br />
