Notwithftanding oAmafis's fhaking of? the Ter-
fian Yoke, Egypt was not able to keep up its
former Grandeur, but was entirely conquered
by Cambyfes , Cyruses Son, who made it a Pro-
vince to the Terfian Empire ; and upon its re-
volting from under that Government, it was finally
fubdued by Ochus the Tterfian Emperor,
and has been governed by Strangers ever fince.
