Multifunctional stormwater management
features should be integrated into site design
to improve both water quality and aesthetics
and to provide a landscape amenity. When
new drainage improvements are required,
they should also be landscaped and
constructed in a manner that replicates a
natural drainage channel or pond. The high
water table common to the District should
be a primary consideration in all stormwater
infrastructure design and engineering
decisions. Consider including the following
natural / environmental features in and along
stormwater channels and detention basins.
