Provide maps, kiosks, signage, and other amenities that identify a
place and inform about its signifi cance to the San Jacinto region.
Informational and interpretive features
are especially important in proximity to
Project Stars locations, museums, parks
or other venues including water features
such as Lynchburg Ferry. Kiosks should
be constructed of recycled materials (such
as reclaimed waste polymers from the
petrochemical industry), locally produced,
and may incorporate a consistent design
theme such as the Texas star. Maps and
wayfi nding should include a variety of routes
and transportation options for navigating
throughout the District. It is recommended
that kiosks and signage for Project Stars and
the San Jacinto Texas Historic District be
consistent in design to the extent possible.
